Lucille Reuter

Lucille (Radke) Reuter, age 92 of Hastings, passed this life peacefully at home surrounded by her family and puppy, Bambi, on Saturday morning, August 1, 2020. Lucille Catherine, the daughter of Fred and Mayme (Fasbender) Radke, was born on February 23, 1928, in Hastings. Following her education, Lucille was united in marriage to Charles Reuter in 1947 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. They were blessed with many memories and over fifty-years of marriage prior to his passing in 1998. Lucille was a dedicated homemaker, and truly loved spending time with her family. She was an avid gardener and canner, and never missed the opportunity to visit Treasure Island. She was content being home with her animals, and would stop everything to talk on the phone. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and two brothers; loving husband, Charles; daughter, Sandy; and by her grandsons, Jason and Eric. Lucille is survived by her children, Linda (Charles) Lowe, Mike (Danae) Reuter, Bonnie (Tom) Cochran, Tony (Trudy) Reuter, Danny (Lori) Reuter, Joe (Wanda) Reuter, and Tommy Reuter; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and by many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father Matthew Shireman officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, all at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. A reception will also be held at the funeral home following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, Lucille's family kindly requests memorials be given to Juvenile Diabetes research or to the donor's choice in her memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
