Marvin V. Reinardy

Marvin Reinardy, age 81 of Hastings, died peacefully at Augustana Care of Hastings on Thursday evening, July 2, 2020, with family by his side. Marvin was born on the family farm in New Trier on November 29, 1938, and was raised on the family farm in New Trier, MN. Everyone that knew Marvin was aware that the farm meant everything to him. He kept the house, lawn, sheds and pasture meticulous. Besides farming, Marvin worked a fulltime career at Niebur Implement in Miesville, MN. Marvin had a love for his home church, St. Mary's Catholic Parish. Marvin has deeply missed playing cards and visiting with his friends over the last years. Marvin is survived by his siblings, Leo Reinardy, Marjean (James) Kummer, Elaine Ficker, Lois Reinardy, Phyllis Ficker and Norb (Cindy) Reinardy. He is also survived by 17 Nieces and Nephews, David (Nancy) Reinardy, Karen (Tony) Cox, Julie (Mary Rode) Reinardy, Mark Reinardy, Barb (Bob) Zetwick, Bruce (Kathy) Kummer, Rhonda (Kevin) Den Herder, Randy (Laurie Peterson) Ficker, Rose (Jeff) Ross-Hernlem, Geri (Jim) Magee, Gwen Anderson, Linda (Frank) Hoffman, Joe Ficker, Holly (Victor) Emigh, Nichole Reinardy, Lennea (Nate) Marxhausen and Andrea Reinardy; and by many great nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Gert Reinardy; infant brother, Michael; sister-in-law, JoAnn Reinardy; and by his brothers-in-law, Jerry and Joe Ficker. Mass with Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020, at St Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton, MN, with Father Michael Tix, Celebrating. Private family interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Trier. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday morning at church. We ask that everyone attending Marvin’s service be respectful of the guidelines in place during Covid-19. In lieu of flowers, Marvin’s family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Augustana Care Center, or the donor’s choice in his memory. We would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful care Marvin has received over the last year at Augustana. Our family appreciates each and every one of you. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
