Myrna R. Cress

Myrna R. Cress, age 68, of Hastings, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016.Myrna was born March 24, 1948 in Amery, WI to Frank and Blanche (Lee) Kuhn. She was a graduate of Clear Lake High School in WI and married William P. Cress at St. Johns Catholic Church in Clear Lake on August 17, 1967. Myrna loved spending time with her grandkids and with her love of animals, enjoyed working at Animal Ark in Hastings.She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Peter Kuhn and Becky Yurik; brother-in-law William Martin.Myrna is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Chad (Jenn) Cress of Marine on St. Croix, Jason Cress of Hastings and Stacy (Joshua) Williams of Hudson, WI; grandchildren, Lianna Cress, Jack Cress and McKenzi Williams; aunt Violet Swenby; sisters, Carmy Martin and Cordeila Alfaro; brother-in-law Mike Yurik; sister-in-law Lucy Withoft.Memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, April 15, 2016 at Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings, with Pastor Chris Kneen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service on Friday. Interment will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
