Raymond H. Schuster

Raymond H. Schuster, age 87, of Hastings, passed away April 23, 2012 at his home. He was born August 2, 1924 to William & Mary Schuster. He grew up in Pine River, MN. Raymond was a decorated WWII veteran. He worked as a meat cutter and was a creative entrepreneur. He enjoyed cars, storytelling, cards and chatting with friends at the YMCA while attempting to work up a sweat. He loved going out to breakfast with his friends and most of all, his family. He is preceded in death by wife, Betty; significant other, Lorraine Mausolf; his parents; grandson, Aaron; 3 brothers. Raymond is survived by children, Michael (Hope) Schuster; Patricia Schuster; Susan (John) Sieben; Richard (Heidi) Schuster; Shari (Raymond) Thielbar; 15 grandchildren; sister, Donna (Derald) Watson; many other relatives & friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday (4/28), 10:30 A.M., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be held Friday (4/27) 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings as well as one hour prior to mass at church. Memorials preferred to the Aaron Schuster Memorial College Fund, YMCA or Pine River American Legion Post #613. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
