Tara Rose Jahnke

Tara Rose Jahnke, age 36, of Hastings, passed away on May 29, 2016 at her home. She was born October 13, 1979 to Joseph and Linda Zitzmann. Tara went to Waconia Elementary School, Pueblo West Elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from Eagan High School. She went on to college and graduated from Metro State University. Tara worked at Tappe Construction and then at Comcast. Tara married Gary Jahnke on June 11, 2005 and they reside in Hastings, MN. They were blessed with one daughter, Ella Rose. Tara is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Ella; parents, Joe & Linda Zitzmann; sister, Leah Spurzem and her daughter, ShyAnne Spurzem; grandmother, Valeria Rozeski; mother and father in law, Robert & Trudy Jahnke; brother in law, Steve Jahnke; sister in law, Shelly (Buck) Pepera and their children, Samantha, Grace, Margo, Kelsey; brother in law, Shawn (Marrissa) Rudd; brother in law, Scott Rudd and his children, Hunter, Hailey, Chloe; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday (6/6) at 4:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings. A gathering will take place one hour prior to mass at church. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery. Thank you to everyone who helped our family in any way. Especially Dr. Randolph Hurley, the oncology nurses; Holly, Linda, Ashley and Jen at Allina Clinic and the wonderful hospice care staff. To all the friends and family who sent cards, flowers, food and most importantly, prayers... we love you ALL!
